A straight stairlift is cheaper than a curved stairlift. Most stairlifts with a bend have to be made to measure. Straight stairlifts can also be supplied as standard (unless your straight staircase is not completely symmetrical). Only the rail has to be made to length for a straight staircase. A useful addition is a swivel chair. At the top of the stairs you can rotate this up to 90 degrees on to the landing so that you can dismount easily.
